I was reading a magazine called Le Tricot on the Antique Pattern Library website when I saw a beautiful stitch that I have never seen it before. Then, I asked permission to translate the directions from french to english, and the permission was granted. All I had to do was to release this stitch with the same Creative Commons licence, the 4.0 NC SA BY and, of course, credit the Antique Patterns Library.
Something that caught my attention at this knitting stitch is that it reminds me of mussels.
Well, the magazine only brings the written instructions, so I thought it would be a good idea to create a chart as well. I made the chart using TeXShop, a software that is a front end to TeX and LaTeX. Many people don't know, but they can easily create knitting charts using latex with the help of the knitting package. Maybe I write an article about it one day. Untill then, you can learn more about this package reading the documentation.
Latex makes beautiful knitting charts, don't you think?
